I am passionate about a good story and a truthful presence, and believe that continuous learning help actors, writers and directors to stay creatively fit and active, and ready to take on the next job. My teaching and coaching approach builds on the importance of analysing text, releasing the imagination, and enabling emotional availability. The training methods of Stanislavski, Michael Chekhov and Laban-Malmgren are amongst my own favourites. Building on the established skills and approaches, the actor is then empowered to discover and identify the tools most suited to further develop their own work on stage and in front of the camera.
Industry
Workshops
Interactive group sessions focusing on key skills like working on camera, scene analysis, or directing actors. We will explore different approaches to building a character and develop storytelling techniques for screen. This is great for creatives who want to learn in a collaborative environment and network with peers. As a coach I offer source material, inspiration, collaboration and technical guidance in a workshop environment.
1:1 Coaching
I offer one-to-one coaching for actors and consultation of writers and directors that is tailored to individual needs. This is perfect for emerging directors or actors looking to deepen their craft, get feedback, or prepare for specific projects. I also work with young actors and performers from non-traditional backgrounds to acting. I help actors with scenes for their auditions and you can get in touch with me to get support with shooting and editing your self-tapes. My work on set is based on what has been rehearsed/ discussed prior to filming in collaboration with actors, directors & producers.
